•A key challenge in our country is creating a safe and creative environment where all kids can actively participate on an equal level, in a sport that they are passionate about, while learning and acquiring fundamental social, life, physical skills and mental growth.

•Another challenge we experience in South Africa is investing time, skills and proper training by professionals to the South African youth and communities.

•The aim of Skills Goes Rural is to take comprehensive skill development to our rural communities to reach a larger audience.  We want to provide comprehensive skill development to coaches and to the children.

•By doing so, we will provide the children with a feeling of purpose, belonging to a group where they feel safe.
This could be the opportunity a child has been longing for, taking them “off the streets” and offering them a different opportunity for their future.  

Power in Partnerships

We want to create more opportunities, with the support of our partners and through the Skills Goes Rural, in order for underprivileged communities to achieve their best possible future.

•May that be through a career in SGR as a facilitator, mentor or a coach. 

•The training and coaching the kids will receive from a Grassroots level through this platform, could shape the future career opportunities for the kids.
